- Give a small blood sample
- Umbilical cord blood can be used to treat patients with life-threatening diseases.
- It is safe. The cord blood is collected after the baby is born which leaves no harm to the mother and baby.
- There is no change in the birth process by donating.
- The umbilical cord and placenta gets thrown away after the baby is born.

*Must be 18 or older Have no major health illnesses such as: AIDS- HIV Diabetes – Insulin dependent Cancer Hepatitis B &C Malaria Organ or Tissue transplant Sexually transmitted diseases Tattoos, skin or body piercing within the last 12 months
